Newspapers
The 2025-2026 Collaborative Newspaper Programme (CNP) is now open for applications. The National Library invites community groups to work with us to digitise newspapers to Papers Past.
This year we have made a few changes to the CNP. These are:
- The page/frame count for a title needs to be between 3,000 – 20,000 pages/frame count
- Our focus is on newspapers already microfilmed. There is no option this year to have your title microfilmed as part of the programme.
Expressions of interest (EOIs)
We call for expressions of interest from groups wanting to extend the coverage of their regional daily newspaper past 1945. Groups who would like to work with us to digitise approximately 10 years of a daily newspaper annually, should submit.
Magazines and Journals
The Magazines and Journals Collaborative Programme pilot is extended to 2025 – 2026. A call for applications is now open.
