We are looking for expressions of interest for an enthusiastic individual to represent Te Rōpū Whakahau and champion the Māori Subject Headings through their networks in libraries, information, iwi and hapū.

The Māori Subject Headings Governance Group comprises representatives from each of the sponsor organisations which includes LIANZA and National Library.  The Governance Group provides guidance and support for the National Library in the development of the headings.  The Governance Group usually meets three times a year, once face-to-face, if possible, and at other times by telephone conference. The meetings are usually about one hour in duration.

As the Te Rōpū Whakahau representative on the Governance Group you will be a current financial member and proactive in sharing information with Ngā Kaiwhakahau and the wider Association at regular intervals.

If you are passionate about Te Rōpū Whakahau, te reo Māori, Mātauranga Māori or all of the above, this may be the opportunity for you!

Please forward your Expression of Interest to trw@trw.org.nz before 5.00pm, Wednesday 28 August 2013.  Further information about the Māori Subject Headings is available on our website under Projects
The next meeting of the Māori Subject Headings Governance Group is Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 September 2013, Manukau, Auckland.  The current representative will provide support and handover at this time.
