The International Indigenous Librarians Forum 2019 will be hosted in Tāmaki | Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand 7 – 10 February at Waipapa Marae, Auckland University.
The AGM for Te Rōpū Whakahau will be held the 4 th and 5 th February, just prior to the IILF forum, with a view that the rest of our hui ā-tau will be participating and hosting our international colleagues.
February 6th is Waitangi Day in Aotearoa New Zealand, which is a national holiday. We are currently looking at opportunities for Te Rōpū Whakahau members to commemorate this day with our international guests.
The theme is – Tāmaki herenga waka – welcoming indigenous waka or vessels to return and tether within Tāmaki providing a safe haven for discussions that will impact future generations of indigenous traditional knowledge and its’ acquisition, storage and use.
