We seek an ambitious colleague who will augment our existing strengths in research, teaching, and outreach. We expect candidates will have strong molecular and experimental skills, but also use a range of approaches (potentially including, but not limited to, molecular, biochemical, genetic, genomic, organismal, physiological, ecological, evolutionary, statistical and/or computational). We are especially interested in receiving applications from candidates with interests in plant biotechnology plant-microbe interactions and/or plant pathology. It is expected that the successful candidate will establish an externally funded research programme, for which there are a variety of basic and applied contexts in New Zealand. They will also develop research linkages with research institutes, industry or charitable groups and/or civil society, and participate in undergraduate and postgraduate supervision and teaching.

Applications close 5 August 2018. Further information about this opportunity is available on the job vacancies page.
