The University of Canterbury Library is part of the Learning Resources portfolio which supports staff and students at the University of Canterbury by equipping them with materials for their learning, teaching and research needs, and by providing a world-class campus environment in which to use them.  The Library Access and Collections team is seeking a new part-time eServices Coordinator to work with the existing eServices team of 3 staff.  The ideal applicant would have a passion for new technologies and experience in supporting library applications.  They require an understanding of information architecture, metadata, library standards and web technologies.

The applicant will require a positive and caring attitude to ensure the students and staff feel understood and supported.  They will thrive on the challenge of the constant learning and prioritisation required to carry out a wide variety of daily tasks.  The successful applicant will enjoy working both independently and collaboratively to troubleshoot issues and achieve goals.  The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to bicultural competence and confidence and develop an elementary understanding of Te Reo Māori and the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.  Applications close 23 October 2017.  Further information about this opportunity is available on the job vacancies page.
