About the role

The Tumu Whakarae has accountability for delivering on the organisation’s strategic direction and generating financial and social value in furtherance of CORE’s charitable purposes.  The role reports directly to the Board.

Your experience and skills need to include:

  • Proven experience as a CEO and in leading an organisation of scale and complexity
  • Education sector experience and an understanding of the educational landscape in Aotearoa
  • Being versed in tikanga Māori with proven experience working successfully in New Zealand’s bi-cultural context
  • An entrepreneurial thinker with a strong focus on achieving results
  • Excellent communication, relationship building and collaboration skills, these being at the heart of your practice.
