Ngā Kete Wānanga o Ōtautahi Christchurch City Libraries is a network providing access to creativity, ideas and information. We make opportunities for our community to explore and have fun with everything from old stories to new technologies through a vast range of materials and public programmes. Te Kete Wānanga o Aranui | Aranui Library is a small library that serves a local neighbourhood. We are committed to giving an outstanding and bicultural service to the whole community.
The Librarian – Community at Aranui:
- is pivotal in building relationships in the community, finding ways to work together with them, meeting challenges and creating communities
- develops, promotes and delivers programmes like Wā Kōrero Storytimes in the library and in the community
- demonstrates kaitiakitanga in their work with our collections
- assists customers and colleagues in the use of equipment (e.g. PC, direct to garment printer etc.)
- supports programme delivery at other, nearby libraries
