In this role you’ll use your library knowledge and experience to support our busy Whakatāne Libraries and Galleries Lifelong Learning Team with procuring and curating our physical and digital collections. This is a key role in our team, through supporting the utilization of our collections, you will be responsible for making sure the changing information, recreational and learning needs of our communities are met and planned for. You’ll get to be involved in creating an environment that best serves our community. Sounds great, right!

You’ll be joining a team that envisions being better together, so you’ll be a team player that upholds the values that our staff developed together (see below). We’re all about improvement so need someone who can get the job done and let us know how we can be better. You’ll have an excellent eye for detail, be mega organized and you’ll love building relationships. We’re not looking for a superhero but something close would be great!
