Te Rōpū Whakahau in collaboration with NZLPP, are thrilled to provide a FREE professional development opportunity.

The Mātauranga Māori professional development is a compulsory (pending COVID) overnight marae stay which will cover:

The Mātauranga Māori professional development opportunities will be offered at:

Whāngarei – 10-11 March 2022

Ōtautahi – 7 – 8 April 2022

Rotorua – July 2022

Whanganui ā-Tara – November 2022

For any of these FREE opportunities, please provide your expression of interest here, and place it in your calendars. This is the generic registration.

The first professional development will take place at Pehiāweri marae, Whāngarei on 10 – 11 March 2022 – If you wish to attend this particular workshop – Pehiāweri Marae / Whāngarei specific registration can be found here.

As part of their manaakitanga, Pehiāweri Marae have developed their own Traffic Light protocols. Please read the marae Traffic Light protocols which can be found below.

NB: We are currently thinking about options regarding overnight stay if we have not reached Level 1 in Tai Tokerau.

Please share with your networks and your workers especially those seconded into roles or needing further training in Mātauranga Māori and Ngā Upoko Tukutuku.  Please note that our Far North region will have preference as there are more opportunities within Auckland than those provided in the Far North.  Please still express your interest if you are unable to receive further training in this capacity noting limited numbers.
