Indigenous Matters: Call for papers

Submissions due 17 February 2017

“Indigenous Continuity: How do you show your solidarity?”

The Indigenous Matters Section invites you to submit a proposal for our inaugural session in Wroclaw 2017!  Aligned with the Congress theme “Libraries. Solidarity. Society.“ Indigenous Matters is inspired by the powerful message of the congress theme that recognises a country where the most powerful union movement of the past century was born and went on to change the face of history.
The Indigenous Matters session will focus on how librarians’ and their libraries ensure indigenous continuity within their work environment, as well as out in the community so that indigenous peoples are supported, connected and empowered through their library to excel and flourish in their current social, economic, and political reality.
The goal is to create a meaningful, insightful, and useful programme of 4-6 speakers (10-15 min presentations), with an interactive audience/panel session if time allows.
Be part of the movement! Share your research, experience, learnings by submitting a proposal on a topic of your choice relating to the session theme.
